Captain’s Status – “Phnom Banan Cambodia”
Captain Kimo is still in Battambang, Cambodia, taking photos of the ancient temples and ruins around the city. The above photo was taken at the top of Phnom Banan. To reach the top requires climbing 358 steps made of stone. Sounds easy but these steps are steep and the hot weather doesn’t help either. Below is a shot of the steps at the bottom of Phnom Banan.
Cambodian Rainy Season
I’m having a great time here in Cambodia but I picked a bad time to visit. Right now is the Khmer Rainy Season so it’s been raining everyday since I got here in Cambodia. But it doesn’t rain all day usually it only rains towards the evenings around dinner time. But there is an advantage to visiting Cambodia on the Rainy Season and that is the Greens. Everything is lush and beautiful right now and I’m hoping to get some decent photos when I visit Angkor Wat for the fourth time. Below is before and after pictures to show you how rainy the Rainy Season really is. This is only after 2 days of heavy rain!
More Info About Captain Kimo Watermark Changes
As I mentioned in last month’s Captain Kimo Newsletter, I said I was changing my watermark to something more appropriate for my needs. However I didn’t explain in detail why I made the change. I’ve also got a few request from others asking why I did what I did. Some folks also voiced their opinion about the watermark saying it was too distracting. So in this article I am going to attempt to explain my reasoning behind changing my watermark. Click here to read more.
