Night Photography with the New Camera

Ever since I got my new camera, (the Canon 5D MK2) I’ve been shooting a lot more night scenes. The Canon 5D MK2 is suppose to be able to handle noise very well at night, so I’ve been putting it to the test. Check out some of the shots below. These aren’t HDR photos, all are from a single RAW file, some processing applied.

Photographing the Florida Coast Has Begun

Shooting the entire Florida coast is something that I’ve been saying and wanting to do for a long time. Well the moment has arrived to put words into action. So I’m calling all Florida photographers, amateurs and pros, to come out and shoot with me.

Tell me what your favorite spots are, and if I find it interesting, lets get together and shoot! Of course you’re not obligated to shoot, but I’d appreciate your help in finding all the best places for photographs.

I know most of you would simply do this out of the kindness of your heart, but I wouldn’t want you to waste your precious time, so I’m offering those that give me the coolest location a limited edition print of one of the Captain’s photo from that location, signed by the Captain himself!

I haven’t quite worked out all the details yet, but I will make an official post on this in the near-by-future, so keep your eyes opened! Until then email me some of your coolest locations; coastline only… beaches, lighthouses, piers, rock formation, bridges anything of historic significance… you get the picture.
