Captain’s Status – “Finally in Bangkok”

Heavy Traffic Downtown Bangkok ThailandAfter a grueling journey across the globe I am finally back in Bangkok. My priority on this trip is to get paperwork for my wife completed so she’ll be able to accompany me back to the States along with our daughter. I will try to do some photography while I’m here. The above photo was taken with my Canon PowerShot Elph 110HS. This is a compact point and shoot camera that I bought for the HD Video capability. I plan on using it to record video tutorial footage while I’m out on the field. The picture quality is pretty good too.

Super HDR Panorama for Recent Client Project

180degreehdrpanoramaHere is an HDR panorama I shot for a recent client project that I wanted to share. This is a 180 degree panorama composed of 7 different shots at 3 exposures each for a total of 21 images. This image is being used as a mural to showcase the beautiful view of the waterway at sunset. I plan on doing a video tutorial on photographing a 180 degree pano when I get back to America. I will also include video footage with the Canon PowerShot Elph 100HS as I shoot the High Dynamic Range panorama.

Current Captain Kimo HDR Workflow Video

captain-kimo-hdr-workflow-2013My workflow for High Dynamic Range is always changing as I learn new techniques. I find that even the smallest change can make a big difference in the final outcome of an image. This video I recorded documents my current workflow that I use for producing my HDR images.
