Captain’s Status – “Shooting the Sunshine State”

Captain Kimo at Fakahatchee Wetlands in the Florida EvergladesThe start of the New Year has got me busy photographing different areas of Florida. So far I’ve photographed, Melbourne, Miami, the Everglades, Marco Island and Naples. The photo above was taken at the swamps in Fakahatchee Strand Preserve, taken by David Harris. We didn’t spend too much time there since I had to be at the Naples Pier before sunset. This weekend I plan on going to Florida’s West Coast and hopefully catch an amazing sunset.

Captain Kimo Best of 2012 Photography Slideshow

captain-kimo-best-hdr-photography-images-for-2012Some of you might have already seen my latest slideshow for 2012, but for those who haven’t, here it is. It was a lot of work picking out the photos for this video, and since I post over 365 photos a year, 650 to be exact, that’s a lot of photos to look at!

Captain Kimo Back to Bangkok in February

wpid18410-Downtown-Bangkok-City-Lights-at-Pantip-Plaza-Aerial-View.jpgI just bought my plane tickets for another trip to Thailand on February. This time it’s a one way ticket! No… I’m not planning on staying there but there is a slim chance I might. And that all depends on whether my wife gets approved for a Visa to America. If she gets her Visa, then I’ll be flying back with my wife and daughter to the United States! But if for some reason she doesn’t, then I plan on living in Cambodia until she does which wouldn’t be bad either. Regardless of the outcome it’s a win as long as I’m with my family. I’ll keep everyone updated on Captain Kimo’s latest family adventures. Until then below is a photo of my wife and daughter on their very first plane ride.
