HDR Beach Photography at Carlin Park

Aug 23, 2010 | Florida Beaches & Coasts

Stopped by Carlin Park yesterday to scope out the area to see how well it would do for a moonrise shoot. Just from this shot alone, I’m sure it will do very well.

I plan on shooting the moonrise today, August 23rd, 2010 at Carlin Park around 6:30pm, however moonrise won’t happen till 7:09pm. Being there early should give me plenty of time to walk the beach and find a good composition.

Note that this is not a full moon. That won’t happen until the following night. The moon will only be at 97.8% luminosity, but I prefer to shoot the moon during this time anyways, since there will be plenty of light left to expose for the foreground.

If anyone wants to join the adventure, you can find me behind the civic center at Carlin Park in Jupiter, Florida. Below is a map with directions to the facility.
