This lifeguard tower can be found underneath the Blue Heron Bridge on Singer Island in Phil Foster Park. I shot this during a perfect sunset.
DuBois Pioneer Home, the second oldest house still standing in Palm Beach County. The DuBois house was built in 1898 and is now a historic site which is part of DuBios Park.
Landscape photography is my specialty. I enjoy photographing landscapes more than any subject on...
Photo was taken at the Juno Beach Pier using a Massa ND Filter to get smooth rolling water. I added a couple of textures to really make this photograph pop.
Welcome everyone to the new captainkimo.com! Keep in mind I have over 200 posts but I’m still updating the old content to the new format so this site may look a little naked until then. But I will be posting new photos from here on out.
Of all the photographs I’ve taken and posted I realized I have never posted any of my dog, Kogi, a pembroke welsh corgi. That’s right… the same breed the Queen of England keeps as the palace guard dog.
This is one of those moments in photography when you’re force to turn lemons into lemonade. HDR photo taken right next to the Pounce de Leon Lighthouse next to a boat ramp.
Seven Falls is a 181ft waterfall that cascades down in seven distinctive steps. Frozen waterfalls aren’t nearly as interesting as the flowing ones.
Imagine waking up to this view of the Rocky Mountains every morning. Better yet, imagine a long day at work then relaxing here with a cold beer! Not to rub it in, but I had a chance to experience both :). My visit to Colorado was a pleasant one.
During my flight home from Colorado I had a layover at George Bush International Airport in Houston, Texas. The Continental airplane landed in Houston just as the sun began to set.
Found this train while driving around the neighborhood in Fountain, Colorado. You’re probably wondering how I managed to capture such a sharp image without any motion blur.
Not sure what these telescopes are called. I’ve always called them view finders but I’m pretty sure that’s not what they’re called. Anyways… this view finder was happily distorted by my 17mm wide angle so I had to get a little creative to make it less noticeable
The fun part about processing HDR photos is the ability to take your image to an extreme. Some photographers would disagree.
Can you believe Alamo ran out of rental cars? That’s like KFC running out of chicken… which ironically happened to me before as well. There was literally a line of people waiting for cars.
I haven’t photographed a sunrise in quite some time so I planned a sunrise shoot tahis morning, until I realized there was a few exposures I never even looked at. This batch was shot over at Ocean Reef Park in Singer Island, Florida.
Costa Rica architecture is simply amazing, especially in the city of San Jose. Some of the older buildings are very impressive with beautiful textures and lots of small details.
This HDR shot was taken during a recent trip to visit an old co-worker friend who lives in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. I was hoping to arrive in time to photograph the fall leaves, but.
Everyday is black and white until we stop to see the colors. Most of us get caught up with our daily routine. Too busy to stop and enjoy the new day. Another moment in life given to us to cherish.
If there is any one place to shoot night-time HDR photographs it would be Las Vegas. Las Vegas is so full of night lights. So many, it’s overwhelming. That was one of the reasons I didn’t get many photos. I just didn’t know where to start.
