The Train that Finally Arrived

Sep 29, 2010 | Railroads & Trains

This image was from the same photo outing that I shot the sunset of the marina in Stuart. Yup… that same beautiful evening we spent the rest of the night waiting for the train to come. Someone had mentioned that the train goes by every 45 minutes… well we found out that wasn’t true.  After about 8:30pm we decided to head back, and then we heard the horns! So we all hurried back to our spot, and waited, and waited, and waited. After waiting for another 30 minutes we decided to go back, and could you guess what happens… that’s right, the horns went off again, but this time the bridge went down, which meant there was definitely a train coming. Once again we headed back to our spot… and waited, lol! Eventually I gave up and decided to go shoot other things at a different spot. The train eventually came and I manage to get this shot, not from the spot I wanted, but at least I got something to go home with.
