Textured Alligator from Loxahatchee Slough

Sometimes I forget that everyday things to me is exotic to most people, like this alligator here. Most Floridians see alligators all the time swimming out in the lakes and canals. But for the rest of the world, I’m sure alligators are a rare sight.

Here’s my alligator photo for all you folks who are use to seeing bears. I’m sure there are bears in Florida but I’ve never seen one here in the wild, so to me, they are pretty rare ;-)

This photo was a single exposure HDR tone mapped using Photomatix. I created and added some textures to make it look more artsy. My next eBook will be on texturing HDR photos so I figured I better start doing more of them to get you all interested.
