Florida American Kestrel Perched on Palm Eating a Lizard

Nov 3, 2012 | Animals & Wildlife

I shot this while walking my dog around the neighborhood. I was tired of never having my camera around when bird action happens around the house. This time I was ready! I had my Canon Rebel T3 and my Tamron 18-270mm which is my light portable setup. It doesn’t compare to my 5DMK2 but it’s better than nothing. I’m still surprise at how well this American Kestrel photo came out. I actually wasn’t going to post it but after seeing it again I saw no reason why I shouldn’t.
