Big Headed Lazy Forest Lizard Phuket Thailand

Jun 29, 2012 | Animals & Wildlife

A few days ago I took another stroll though the forest behind the house here in Phuket, Thailand. I found this big headed lizard sitting still trying to look like part of the foliage. Of course he couldn’t fool me I spotted him from a few  feet away. I don’t know the name of these lizards but they seem to be abundant here. Most of the time they will try to sit still when I approach. I’ve even manage to get the lens up close to the minimum focus distance of my lens… about 12inches. That reminds me, I still need to do a post on this 18-270mm Tamron lens which I love.
