What an amazing night I had shooting heat lightning last week. Not only did I get these beautiful lightning shots but I also got two killer photos of the Jupiter Inlet under moonlight and the curvy road light trail. For a last minute, late night shoot, I ended up being rather productive.
Lightning photos were tone mapped in Photomatix Pro from a single exposure. I was surprised how well it came out! I used tone compressor option instead of detail enhancer. I think this really helped reduce noise considering I shot it at 1600 ISO.
