Florida Scrub Jay with Added Texture

Oct 25, 2011 | Photo Art & Montage

Here is a textured photo of a Florida Scrub Jay. I decided to do a textured photo-montage for today’s post since I haven’t done one in a while. Plus my next eBook on texturing in almost complete so I’m trying to add to the theme.

Textured was create by me. Scrub Jay was lightly tone mapped in Photomatix for a little more detail and color. Photomontage was processed using Photoshop.

For those who are wondering what bird this is… it’s not a blue jay, but a rare and endangered bird called the Florida Scrub-Jay. This bird can only be found in Florida. It was treat for me to finally see one. I wouldn’t consider myself a big birder but I do enjoy photographing them. Seeing a rare bird like this makes my day so I had to texture this photo to make it a little more special.
