Juniper Tree at Mammoth Hot Springs Yellowstone During Sunrise

Oct 27, 2012 | Mountains & Canyons

This was the only sunrise that I manage to photograph while I was visiting Yellowstone National Park. This image was shot at Mammoth Hot Spring next to the spring at the entrance into town. I’m pretty positive that the tree in the foreground is a Juniper Tree but I never got up close to check. I was hoping to find some elk around the area grazing but there wasn’t much wildlife around that morning.
