Fakahatchee Strand Lake Florida Everglade Wetlands

Apr 29, 2012 | Florida Everglades & Wetlands

Yesterday I went hiking with some friend out in the Fakahatchee Strand in search for rare Orchids. The weather was perfect and mosquitoes were limited, making for the perfect hiking condition. We ended up finding some rare orchids making the trip a success. I manage to capture some of the landscape from deep inside the swamp of the Fakahatchee. Where we went, only a few people have ever seen. In fact I’m going to say that this is probably the first photo ever taken of this lake, lol.
