Everything is starting to look good for my next trip to Thailand. This was processed using my laptop and before I take a long trip I like to make sure my Mobile PC is running fine. I also like to make sure that the image I produce from my laptop is coming out good in terms of colors and exposure. If you’ve ever processed and photo using a laptop you might notice that it looks way different when you view it on your PC. This has a lot to do with the brightness of the screen. Laptop screens tend to be brighter by up to 4 stops sometimes even more. So as you are processing your image you might not notice this. But as soon as you view it on a regular computer monitor the image is way darker than what you saw on your laptop. To remedy this I bring my brightness down half way on the slider. Then during post processing I will adjust the exposure up a little before final output. This will usually get me in the ball park with what I want.

This photo was taken at the Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. The lighthouse you see is called the Portland Head Light. From this one park you can see about 7 different lighthouses, but don’t hold me to that, my memory is a little vague from the freezing weather.

Learn How to Create Photos Like the Captain with… Software I use for processing my photos: [ad#Google Adsense-3]
