Wind Surfer from Jupiter Beach Park

Jun 5, 2011 | Florida Beaches & Coasts, Single Exposure HDR

A lightly tone mapped photo of a wind surfer from Jupiter Beach Park. What I mean by lightly tone mapped is that I took a single exposure RAW file into Photomatix to create a pseudo HDR image, or better known as a single HDR photo. The benefit of single exposure HDR is the contrast and detail that I can achieve through tone mapping. Technically I can do the same thing using Topaz Adjust but I find that Photomatix produces a more cleaner look. However that doesn’t stop me from applying Topaz Adjust on my single exposure HDR image. I also used Topaz Lens Effects to add a little tilt shift blurriness to the image.

Software I use for processing my photos:
Photomatix – Used for creating high dynamic range.
Topaz Adjust – Photoshop plugin used to enhance details.
Topaz DeNoise – Photoshop plugin used to eliminate noise.
Topaz CleanPhotoshop plugin used to smooth pixels.
Topaz SimplifyPhotoshop plugin used for artistic affect.
