The Garden of Gods Red Rock Sunburst

Apr 17, 2010 | Landscapes & Scenery

I love shooting into the sun and taking advantage of the high dynamic range from all 3 exposures. Getting a single exposure of this would be impossible. This HDR photo came out very intense with some nice contrast. On a side note, when crawling around rock cliffs it’s best to make sure your shoes are tied. Lucky for me I’m still pretty agile so I manage to tie my shoe and carry a tripod and camera while balancing on the side of a cliff. I’m glad I left my camera bag in the car!  This photograph was taken at Garden of the Gods.
