This weekend I was up in St Petersburg for a wedding. When I’m in the St Pete area, Fort Desoto Park is a place that I have to visit before I leave. It was rated America’s #1 beach in 2005, or so the sign said. I questioned that, but I never seen the north side of the beach. So this time I venture to the far end of the beach and found it quite amazing. I only say that because of all the birds, lol! This spoonbill wasn’t shot there. Fort Desoto just reminded me of the many bird photos I have, that I still have not processed and posted. So expect to see a lot of birds from the Captain in the weeks to comes.
This Roseate Spoonbill is a two image composite that was tone mapped as a single exposure HDR in Photomatix. Post processing was done in Photoshop and Topaz Plugins were used for enhancements. Lightroom was used for minor tonal and detail adjustments.
