Poisonous Red-necked Keelback Snake from Phuket Thailand

Jul 12, 2012 | Animals & Wildlife

I didn’t have to go far to get this photo. Found this poisonous Red-necked Keelback Snake crawling around the side of the house. These snakes are poisonous because of their diet which includes poisonous frogs. As dangerous as they might be, these snakes aren’t aggressive and prefer to avoid human confrontation when possible. But I would play it safe and stay a good distance away. Note I used all 270mm of my lens to get this image, so I kept a good comfort zone between me and the snake.
