Pirates of the Caribbean Skull

Jun 25, 2011 | Photo Art & Montage

I used this photo to test out Topaz ReMask to see how well ReMask was able to help me create a decent cutout of the skull. It did a pretty good job. I didn’t spend too much time creating the mask. All I had to do was outline the area that I wanted to cutout. With ReMask I didn’t have to be exact. Being exact is where all the time is spent when creating a good mask. I also posted the original photo to show you a before shot. Photo is a 3 exposure HDR image. Processing was done in Photoshop Elements using the Topaz Plugin Bundle. Photograph was taken at an outside bar while waiting for the water taxi to leave for the smokestack demolition.
