Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse with Rainbow

Mar 5, 2010 | Landscapes & Scenery

While driving around the Jupiter area during a photo excursion a rainbow pop into the sky. It appeared perfectly behind the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse. To get this shot I had to climb a 10ft chain link fence, and while doing so broke my saddles. A field of grass stickers awaited me at the bottom of the fence. After avoiding the landmine of pointy pokers with my barefoot I climbed a hill covered with thorny vines. Not only was it covered with leg shredding foliage but among the vines laid dozens of spider webs. Spiders I do not fear but with the way things were moving these arachnids were most likely poisonous. Somehow I manage to avoid being bit, stabbed, cut and arrested… jumping a fence usually means I’m trespassing somewhere. After a few shots I ventured back into the wilderness. I didn’t want temp faith, I surely would have gotten arrested if I hung around too long. I don’t like this shot as much as my other Jupiter Lighthouse photographs but I do like the idea of the rainbow behind it.
