Grandma Roasting Bananas with Kids

Mar 20, 2011 | Portraits & People, Travel & Culture

It’s been cold here in Thailand the past few days… not that it’s been too hot, but the change in weather has been very nice. During an unusually cool day like this Grandma likes to keep warm with a small fire. Since the grand kids are with her she picks a batch of bananas from the garden to roast. Kind of weird for me since I’m use to roasting marshmallows. In this situation marshmallows would have been gladly welcomed over unripe bananas.

The new Photoshop action has been coming along nicely. This photo was processed using the new action. The action works with PS Elements 9 but for some reason it is dreadfully slow. For now I’ll blame that on my under powered laptop. However, my guess is Elements itself is slow, an Adobe conspiracy to force you to upgrade to the standard version ;-)

I feel the new action is ready for prime time, but before I release it I need to put together the user guide. Creating this e-book should only take me a few weeks, however I won’t start until I get home, and that won’t be until the first week of April. Designing an e-book on a laptop is simply not practical. I could probably do it but I’m on my vacation and that would be too stressful.
