Grandma Preparing Chipmunk for Dinner

Mar 12, 2011 | Travel & Culture

Dinner is never a dull moment over here in Thailand. Today on the menu we have chipmunk… it never even crossed my mind that these animals were edible, until now. This chipmunk was shot by Dom, one of grandma’s many grand kids that she looks after. Dom’s skill with his home made sling shot is incredible. The other day he took out a rat in the middle of the night!

In this photo we have Grandma preparing Dom’s catch of the day. Thai folks have a taste for roasted anything, so most of the animals they catch are cooked over burning wood. Chipmunk over an open fire is something to be had… the taste is incredible even without seasoning.

This HDR portrait is part of my on going research in creating a new Photoshop Action. This technique incorporates my old Photoshop Action in a unique way to produces very artistic affects when it comes to processing people. Look forward to another e-book coming soon!
