Florida Sugarcane Factory

Feb 8, 2011 | Photo Art & Montage

During my drive around Lake Okeechobee it was hard not to miss these large sugarcane factories. These factories can be seen in the southern part of the lake, surrounded by miles of sugarcane fields. Eventually I’ll come out here and shoot one of these factories during a sunrise or sunset. I basically had this image in my head when I shot this photo. I knew I was going to do something with textures to give it a vintage feel. This HDR photomontage came out better than expected. Probably even more amazing was that I processed it all using Photoshop Elements 9, instead of the CS version.
