Coral Island Tour Boats – Phuket, Thailand

May 9, 2011 | Travel & Culture

These are the tour boats that go out to Coral Island. One of the most beautiful places I’ve been to in Thailand. Currently it’s low tide so these boats aren’t going anywhere. With that storm in the distance, I don’t think it really matters anyways.

I’ve always been captivated with photos like this, where a bunch of boats are stranded during low tide. You can imagine how stoked I was when I got an opportunity to shoot something similar. It’s too bad these are modern boats. I would have liked it better had they been the old fashion long boats that Thailand is more recognized for.
