Construction Workers Watching Smokestack Demolition

Jun 26, 2011 | Portraits & People, Single Exposure HDR

While I was waiting for the big bang to demolish the towers, I couldn’t help myself from photographing my surroundings. I know I should have had my camera pointed at the towers but it was too cool watching the people, who were watching the towers. These guys were among many who were waiting for the FPL Power Plant to explode. When I shot this photo, I kinda already knew I was going to turn it into a black and white image. It didn’t come out nearly as memorable as some of my portraits from Thailand, but it was fun processing the photo.
