Chrysochroa Fulminans Jewel Beetle Long Body Phuket Thailand

Jul 16, 2012 | Insects & Bugs

This is the coolest looking insect that I had a chance to photograph. This beetle is a Chrysochroa Fulminans part of the Jewel Beetle family. I photographed a pair of different Jewel Beetles a couple of years ago at Grandma’s house, those however were much smaller. This one is a giant compared to those two. What I love about the Jewel Beetle is their metallic green color… hence their name.
