Cape Cottage at Fort Williams Portland Maine

Aug 21, 2011 | Sunrises & Sunsets

There was a thick fog that rolled in yesterday morning at Fort Williams Park where the Portland Maine Lighthouse is located. I heard a few photographers complain about the weather. One was disappointed about the fog because he wanted a sunrise. He left and went home with no shots to take back for his early morning effort.

The way I see it, this fog was just as beautiful as any other sunrise. I waited because I knew when the sun rose high enough that the light would make for an amazing scene… and sure enough, it did ;-)
