I will be in, Portland, Maine, visiting family so I decided to organize a Photo Walk at Cape Elizabeth at Fort Williams Park/Portland Head Light. This will be my second Photo Walk that I’ve organized for Scott Kelby.
I’ve photographed the Portland Head Light multiple times and I think Fort Williams Park would be a great place for a photo walk, especially during sunrise! The park also offers plenty of different subjects to photograph not just the lighthouse!
We will meet at the front of the Portland Head Light (Lighthouse) at 6:30am. The sun will rise around 6:50am so you’ll have plenty of time to figure out where you want to be to capture the sunrise. Afterwards we will walk to the Old Fort at the north end of the park where we will all meet at 8:30am to end the Photo Walk. Then we will meet at a local cafe or restaurant at 9:00am for breakfast and talk about what we all love, “Photography.” Of course this is optional so if you can’t make it don’t worry!
Note: I don’t have a restaurant or cafe picked out yet. That will be announced later or at the meeting point. If you have any suggestion please let me know. Hope to see you there!
