    Good morning, Captain!

I’m really enjoying your work. It’s top-notch. And I especially look forward to seeing more of your HDR panos.

Question: When you say “Processing Time: 30 minutes,” what precisely do you mean by processing time? Your time manipulating with Photomatix and Topaz? Or do are you referring to something else?

    Best,

    — Peter

  2. Hi Kim, if the view have water like this..it mean photography..especially HDR photography ..with the reflection..will give impact to the photo

  3. Captain Kimo says:

@Peter – Thanks for the compliments. When I say processing time I generally mean the entire time it took me to create the photo. Includes everything from Photomatix to Topaz and Photoshop.

  4. Doug says:

    Kimo,
You mention that you use topaz clean to smooth pixels. What do you mean by that? Doesn’t Denoise remove noise and smooth pixels?
    Thanks’

  5. Captain Kimo says:

@Doug – If you have Clean use it and you’ll see what I mean. Don’t look at the overall filtered result or stylized photo. You’ll need to zoom in on the pixels to see. Denoise does a great job removing noise but when you zoom in you’ll notice there are still too many pixels with different colors. Clean will simplify this.

    dear c=Captain Kimo,
I am not a photographer . I make jewelry and photograph my work for a web site. I am having a problem with uploading to the web store because instead of opening there it is opening in photoshop. Can you help me correct this problem?
I think i saw you at the wet lands. I am the amputee with the dragon prosthesis.
Thank you for any help you can render.
    Bert

  7. Captain Kimo says:

@Bert – You’ll have to be much more specific. Are you running on windows or mac?

  8. Captain Kimo says:

@Bert – No problem Bert… file extension was the first thing that came to mind. I’m glad you were able to figure it out.
