Thailand Fishing Boat Docked by Mangroves

Apr 20, 2011 | Black & White HDR, Travel & Culture

No matter how hard I tried to make the color version work with this HDR image, it just never ended up looking right. I prefer color photos but sometimes black and white makes a better impact on a photo than color does. I have nothing against black and white photos, I love them just as much as any other type of photography.

This photo was taken last year in Phuket, Thailand, at the local village boat dock. I was there that day to see monkeys… apparently they love this area, but the only thing I saw there was empty fishing boats. Oh well… fishing boats were fine by me.
