I tried my luck again back at Lilypad Lake to see if I could get some clouds in the sky with the sun setting. It was an ok evening but I think I can do better.
I thought it was going to be a pretty good sunset today but a storm rolled in at the last minute covering the sky with this dark gray clouds.
Photography is most definitely a good form of exercise. I got my heart racing to get this shot before the sun set.
Here’s a photo taken with my old Canon PowerShot S90… the one that broke. I’ve since got a new one but haven’t used it to it’s fullest potential yet. I posted this photo because I’m always impressed by the color this camera is able to capture.
Here’s me trekking through the marsh at the Loxahatchee Slough looking for a good sunset. Unfortunately all the Cypress Trees are bald from the winter cold. But in a way the scene itself is very beautiful… just difficult to translate into a photograph.
I manage to catch the sunset yesterday from the road as I was driving home. As a photographer I always have my eyes open for a shot. However it’s not really a good thing while I’m driving!
Not paying any attention to time, due to rain, I took a brief look outside and saw a beautiful sunset happening. Unfortunately by the time I got to my destination, which would be the Loxahatchee Slough, the sun had set.
I’ve decided to call this little patch of mangrove, Little Mangrove Island, I’m sure you can see why. Next time I’m hoping to catch this mangrove tree when it’s a lot more lush, which I’ve seen before. Lately it’s been kinda bare which could be a result from the winter season here in Florida. Yup… this is winter in Florida!
It’s been very gloomy these past few days, not at all good for photography. I’m sure there are some die hards who would go out and shoot during this type of weather but I prefer to keep my camera dry. Needless to say I am processing some of my old photos until the sun comes out to play.
I tried a new spot this time for a West Palm Beach downtown skyline shot. This was photo was taken from the Flagler Bridge, not the greatest vantage point. I was lucky enough to get a decent sunset to make the HDR image work. Video of me post processing this image coming soon!
