I missed the full moon rise yesterday because of the heavy cloud coverage that we had hovering over Palm Beach County.
Some of my favorite HDR photos for 2012 compiled as a slide show video. It’s a little over 4 minutes long but you’ll see my best work without have to click anything. Cool music by DanoSongs.com.
It’s been very gloomy these past few days, not at all good for photography. I’m sure there are some die hards who would go out and shoot during this type of weather but I prefer to keep my camera dry. Needless to say I am processing some of my old photos until the sun comes out to play.
Video tutorial as I’m post processing an image from West Palm Beach to create another HDR photo for my blog. This video covers Photomatix Pro, Photoshop and Lightroom.
I tried a new spot this time for a West Palm Beach downtown skyline shot. This was photo was taken from the Flagler Bridge, not the greatest vantage point. I was lucky enough to get a decent sunset to make the HDR image work. Video of me post processing this image coming soon!
This is my first video tutorial for 2012. This video covers Photomatix Pro 4.0, the best HDR software, IMO. Video tutorial is not perfect but it works for a basic how-to guide covering tone mapping using Detail Enhancer.
Here is the very first shot from yesterday during that epic sunset at the Lake Worth Lagoon. When I start a photo shoot with something like this, I get goose bump knowing it’s going to be a very good evening! It’s days like these that make up for all the other bad days.
Another shot of the famous Captain Kimo Driftwood from the Lake Worth Lagoon at Singer Island. So far this is my favorite photo of the dead wood. But I have another image in my mind that will require mother nature’s help. Hopefully this tree will still be here when all the perfect ingredients come together.
Here’s a black and white version of the previous driftwood photo. This is what happens when I process too many photos in one day. My eye gets tired and I start to lose the ability to decide what looks good and what doesn’t. This will be my fifth photo posted for today… four more to go!
Here’s another shot of Captain Kimo’s Driftwood from Lake Worth Lagoon. I have another one coming that’s cropped and converted to black and white. Let me know which you like better.
