Small Tropical Bird from Phuket Thailand

Jun 17, 2012 | Animals & Wildlife

I am finally in Phuket where I’ll be staying for the rest of my trip in Thailand. Hopefully I’ll be able to do a lot of shooting while I’m here. I’m lucky enough to be able to stay with some relatives at a beautiful house located on a tropical mountain. Today I spent most of the day relaxing from my travels. But I did get a chance to hike the mountain to see some wildlife. I found this bird sitting pretty and unusually fearless as I approached close. This image was shot with my Canon Rebel T3 using my Tamron 18-270mm. So far I really like my travel setup. It’s a perfect all in one package.
