Ram Island Ledge Light, Portland Maine Lighthouse

Aug 23, 2011 | Lighthouses, Sunrises & Sunsets

This is the Ram Island Ledge Light, a lighthouse located in Portland, Maine. This lighthouse can be found out in the ocean in front of the Portland Maine Lighthouse. This is the same lighthouse pictured in my post last week which I did not identify at the time.

This image is not an HDR photo… no need for high dynamic range with something like this, especially if you want a silhouette of your subject, in this case it would be the lighthouse.

I am now packing up and getting ready to drive back home to Florida. I’m hoping that I make it back before Hurricane Irene hits. I love shooting waves, the bigger the better, and nothing makes bigger waves than hurricanes! Except for maybe an earthquake but I don’t see a earthquake hitting Florida any time soon.
