North Palm Beach Golf Course Moon Rising Over Palm Trees

Jun 3, 2012 | Golf Course

I drove all over North Palm Beach County looking for a spot to shoot the moon but didn’t find anything worth while so I ended up at the North Palm Beach Golf Course. Wasn’t planning on shooting the moon by then, I was focused more on the sun setting over the waterway next to the golf course. But when I turned around I saw the moon as big as can be so I found a few palm trees and made the most of where I was. I re-framed from making the moon bigger and moving it in a better position. The only retouching I did was removing some power lines from the scene. I think it came out pretty cool. This was also shot with my Canon Rebel T3 and 18-270mm Tamron lens. This will be my portable setup for Thailand for the next two months. I’ll be leaving in about 48 hours!
