Mosquito Lagoon Pine Trees in the Dark – Cape Canaveral, Florida

mosqito lagoon pine trees 125x83 Mosquito Lagoon Pine Trees in the Dark Cape Canaveral, FloridaMost of Florida is covered with these pine trees and there is plenty of them in Mosquito Lagoon. Since I’ve lived in Florida most my life this scene is rather generic to me. The challenge for me was to see beauty in everyday life. Especially in the things I take for granted. On a side note this HDR was shot in the dark, if you can believe that. Shutterspeed was very long for each exposure, about 30 seconds for 2 out of the 3 shots.

Processing Technique: 3 exposure HDR merged using Photomatix. Detail enhanced using Topaz Adjust. Noise removed by Topaz DeNoise. Image smoothed using Topaz Simplify. Photo processed with Photoshop CS4.

Camera Used: Canon 5D Mark1

Lens Used: Canon 17-35mm f/2.8L USM

Camera Settings: ISO 200, Aperture Priority, f/2.8 @ 1/200 of a second, AEB +2/0/-2

Processing Time: 2 hour

Location: Mosquito Lagoon, Cape Canaveral, Florida
