Lizard Striking a Pose from Forest in Phuket Thailand

Jul 14, 2012 | Animals & Wildlife

I planned on shooting lots of Landscapes photos from Phuket, Thailand, but I wasn’t expecting on processing so many insects and reptiles. This Tamron 18-270mm lens has a great macro feature allowing me to shoot plenty of close up subjects. Macro is something that I rarely do because the only macro lens that I had was a 100-400mm. But now that I know I enjoy shooting macro, I plan on investing in a dedicated macro lens for my 5D MK2 when I get back to the states. As for the photo, these lizards are very photogenic. I find them all over the place but rarely find them in a cool spot with a good pose. Now if I can only get the large Golden Skink to do the same.
