HDR Butterfly from Thailand

Mar 27, 2011 | Animals & Wildlife

Here’s something new for a change… a high dynamic range image of a butterfly from Thailand. I found this butterfly sitting outside in front of Grandma’s house. The butterflies here are huge! I’ve seen one the size of a bat. I actually thought it was a bat at first. Not only are these butterflies big but they are beautiful as well. I’ve never seen colors or patterns like some of the ones I’ve seen around Grandma’s house. If you’re into butterflies Thailand is a great place to find them.

I decided to process a different type of photo from Thailand, instead of the usual landscape or portrait. I wanted to see what else my Photoshop action can do. I was pleasantly surprised by the result of this image. The detail on the leaf and butterfly came out better than I expected!
