Grandpa Hunting Dinner – Isan, Thailand

Mar 10, 2011 | Portraits & People, Travel & Culture

Typical day for Grandpa as he goes out to the field to hunt for dinner. What is he hunting for? All sorts of things… frogs, insects, eels and crabs. He also hunts for rats but that’s only at night. Have I eaten any of these creatures? You better believe it, as long as it’s cooked I’ll eat it. So far my favorite are the insects that burrow underneath the ground, they taste like BBQ chips ;-)

I processed this photo using my Photoshop Action. I plan on writing a ebook and creating a new Photoshop Action for this specific technique. But before I do I want to test it out on a dozen photos so I can produce a consistent look.
