I went back to the archives for this one. This is my favorite eagle shot to date. However this is a composite with the cloud from another image. A sharp shot like this, for my current gear, requires lots of light which means it’s usually a clear sunny day. Some photographers might call it cheating, I like to call it creativity.

I tried my luck again back at Lilypad Lake to see if I could get some clouds in the sky with the sun setting. It was an ok evening but I think I can do better. I guess I’ll have to try again until I get that once in a life time shot that I’ll be happy with.

Today I went birding at Wakodahatchee Wetlands with my buddy Bruce from SunnyStatePhoto.com. I got a lot of pretty cool bird photos but my favorite was this one of a Double Crested Cormorant. I love the eyes on these birds because they look like bright green gems.

Here’s the sunset that I posted from my mobile phone a few days ago on Facebook. I finally had some time to sit down to work on it.

The restaurant in the distant is Jetty’s a very popular place because it’s always busy. Never eaten there myself but I’ve heard nothing but good things about the place.

The boat picture is the Blue Heron, which is a charter boat that goes deep sea fishing twice a day. I’ve been on that and it’s pretty fun. However not so fun if it’s ruff!

I thought it was going to be a pretty good sunset today but a storm rolled in at the last minute covering the sky with these dark gray clouds. I should have stayed home but I couldn’t sit in front of the computer any longer so I went venturing off with no real place in mind.

I ended up at the Loxahatchee Slough out west by Sandhill Crane Park. Not sure why I stopped there since everything was pretty much dead. I ended up getting this shot which doesn’t really do anything for me, but it was good enough to post.

Photography is most definitely a good form of exercise. I got my heart racing to get this shot before the sun set. Unfortunately this wasn’t my main destination so I had to run back to the car to get to my final spot. I believe I burnt at least 3000 calories by the time I started driving back home.

I enjoy photographing lighthouses. Usually it takes me a few tries to get the perfect lighthouse photo for any lighthouse that I come across. However with the Hillsboro Lighthouse, this was my first time there and I think I nailed it with this shot.

Every lighthouse has something unique to offer in terms of a photograph. Shooting this lighthouse was a challenge because of the vantage point. I knew when i got to the shooting spot that I wanted to do a panorama, but only if the sunrise gave me something worth processing. On that day I couldn’t ask for anything better. It was perfect!
